Our Council The Project Photos News / Press FAQS

The Kickemuit River Council is composed of voting members from the organizations and neighborhoods around the salt water Kickemuit River in Warren and Bristol, Rhode Island. They send voting members to bring their concerns about the Kickemuit River to the Council. The organization and neighborhoods can send up to three voting members and one alternate. The public is welcomed and their concerns are encouraged, listened to, and evaluated. The voting members decide whether to take action. Each representative brings information from the meeting to its association / neighborhood. We consider the public our eyes and ears - as we are the eyes and ears of the Warren and Bristol Town Councils; the Warren and Bristol Sewer Commissions and Departments; Department of Environmental Management; Environmental Protection Agency, and the Coastal Resource Management Council - for the Kickemuit River. The Kickemuit River Council, an all volunteer, and 501C3 organization, founded in l973 and incorporated in the State of Rhode Island and is a member of the Rhode Island Rivers' Council.
